A Giro d'Italia puddle, a rope burn and a firefighter's test on SnipeFlex
The clips channel posted eight shorts about people pushed to the edge, and a cycling crash five days old is the one that grew past 200,000 views.
Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.
A Tiny Puddle Cost Him The Win 😔 #shorts
SnipeFlex, a clips channel that bills its feed simply as "Quality Fun Contents," put up eight shorts over seven days, and almost all of them are about people being tested by something: a treadmill, a fire, a rope, a wet road.
The one that kept going is "A Tiny Puddle Cost Him The Win 😔 #shorts." The description sets it on a corner at the Giro d'Italia, where a rider goes down hard, gets onto a new bike and carries on, possibly losing the win in the process. It started like the rest of the week's uploads, then kept climbing and passed 200,000 views, several times what any of its neighbors managed. The comments mostly argue about the title. A good share of viewers insist there was no puddle at all, only a wet road taken too fast, and others blame the tires. One commenter offers a cyclist's view of it: heat in July, snow in the Alps and rain are part of what makes the grand tours what they are.
The newer shorts are starting well too. "He Got Burned... Then Tried Again 🔥 #shorts" follows a man who hurt his hand on a rope trick and came back a week later wearing gloves, and "This Is What Elite Endurance Looks Like 😱 #shorts" is off to a quick start. Earlier in the week a firefighter candidate walked straight into flames for her final test, and an explainer showed why a shorter building can sometimes shake harder in an earthquake than a tall one.
The channel's daily views ran a little below its usual pace, and it added about 10,000 subscribers. Among similar-sized sports channels, the All Blacks and Johnny Ringer are having lively weeks, while World Surf League is quieter than usual.
