'Big exits' and a bounced bullseye: the World Grand Prix's fourth night for the PDC
The Day Four reel from Leicester nearly caught the previous night's highlights in half the time, and its comments keep returning to Gary Anderson.
Why this story? The video opened at a pace of 184,765 views a day, 10 times a normal first day on this channel (18,310).
BIG EXITS ❌ | 2026 BOYLE Sports World Grand Prix | Day Four Highlights
"BIG EXITS" is how the Professional Darts Corporation labeled its Day Four highlights from the 2026 BOYLE Sports World Grand Prix, and the reel drew a far bigger first-day crowd than the official channel's videos usually do. Thirty hours after going up, it had passed 220,000 views, almost level with the Day Three highlights, which had a day's head start.
Day Four was Thursday, the night four more players booked their quarter-final places in Leicester. The description says little beyond that, so the comment section supplies the names. Much of it is about Gary Anderson. Viewers praise the two-time world champion's manners, give Niels Zonneveld credit for his play against him, and keep pointing to a moment about six and a half minutes in, when a dart bounced off the bullseye. Others celebrate James Wade, "The Machine," and his place among the last eight, and a few call Gian van Veen against Ryan Searle the best match of the night.
The World Grand Prix is darts with an extra hurdle: every leg has to start on a double as well as finish on one. That is why one of the channel's next clips is about Luke Humphries hitting 14 of his 19 starting doubles against Jermaine Wattimena in the quarter-finals.
Those quarter-finals arrived on Friday under the title "RECORD-BREAKING PERFORMANCE," together with a short of Nathan Aspinall reaching the semi-finals in a match billed as nearly breaking the record. Across the whole channel, daily views are running at about twice their usual level while the tournament is on.
