Beauden Barrett's 2015 World Cup final try returns, Ben Smith's kick and all

Ten uploads went up, from a monster Scott Barrett hit to Dan Carter, Portia Woodman-Wickliffe and Lima Sopoaga trying out with the Baltimore Ravens.

The All Blacks' official channel spent its week looking back, and the clip viewers chose was the one that sealed a world title. "The Beauden Barrett Try that made the 2015 World Cup" passed 160,000 views in about two days, far ahead of anything else the channel posted.

The try is the late one from the 2015 final at Twickenham against Australia: Ben Smith's kick through, Barrett's chase and the score that put the game away. Much of the comment section is about Smith rather than the scorer, with viewers recalling his yellow card earlier in the match and how much they miss him under the high ball. A good share of the replies come from South Africa, Springbok supporters calling that 2015 side, captained by Richie McCaw, the best the All Blacks have fielded.

The rest of the ten uploads kept to the Wallabies theme: a David Havili clip, a hit from Scott Barrett, a muddy 1996 try that ran through Michael Jones, Jonah Lomu and Zinzan Brooke before Christian Cullen finished it, and the full 2018 Bledisloe opener in Sydney with Kieran Read back as captain. The odd one out is the most fun. Dan Carter, Portia Woodman-Wickliffe and Lima Sopoaga visit the Baltimore Ravens, return punts and kick field goals, and that video is the second busiest on the channel right now.

Together they pushed the channel to nearly twice its usual daily views. Among similar-sized sports channels, only Johnny Ringer is running at a comparable pace, while TNT Sports and SailGP are well below their usual level.
