SML's new puppet sketch takes one idiom literally, from a jar on the kitchen counter to an X-ray and a cardboard Nicolas Cage.

SML Movie: Marvin Is Stuck In A Pickle!

Marvin needs someone to watch the burgers. Jeffy thinks he needs someone to get his father out of a jar. That small misunderstanding powers "SML Movie: Marvin Is Stuck In A Pickle!", which has drawn about 1.4 million views since yesterday.

The setup is pure kitchen chaos. Chef PeePee leaves Marvin in charge of the stove, and then Rose calls from the airport, demanding a ride immediately. Marvin makes a perfectly ordinary request: "Hey, Jeffy, I'm stuck in a pickle. Can you please come downstairs and watch this food for me?"

Jeffy hears only the emergency. There's a jar of pickles on the counter, so he searches it and calls a doctor. Brooklyn T. Guy turns up in the role and tries to explain that it's just an expression, but Jeffy won't budge: "No, not a predicament, a pickle!" Soon the doctor is wrestling with the lid too, and a superhero named Super Big D joins the effort, which ends with the jar tied to a truck.

The second half moves to a hospital, where the pickles are prepped for surgery and X-rayed for any trace of Marvin. Then the search takes its strangest turn. The doctor decides the answer lies in stealing the Declaration of Independence and meets a cardboard Nicolas Cage, a nod to Cage's 2004 adventure film National Treasure, built around exactly that heist.

It arrives straight after SML's Halloween run, which brought Slenderman and a third "Secret Door" episode. Here, nothing scarier lurks in the house than a jar nobody can open.
