Tenna's cooking game and Ralsei's lore dumps fill SmashBits' Deltarune week
Six uploads, all in Toby Fox's world, led off by the eighth 'If DELTARUNE was Realistic' with a cast list of dozens of voices.
Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.
If DELTARUNE was Realistic 8
Every new upload on SmashBits this week went to Deltarune, and the channel seems happy to live there for a while.
The big piece was "If DELTARUNE was Realistic 8," the latest chapter in the studio's long-running parody series, built in Source Filmmaker. Its credits read like a small film's. Writer Dexter Manning voices Kris, Spamton, Asgore and, by the description's own count, "Everybody Else." Elsie Lovelock plays Susie and Will Ryan doubles as Ralsei and Sans. It passed a third of a million views, most of them on its first day.
Around it came a run of shorter takes on the game's stranger corners. Tenna's cooking game is called "SO Hard," the music mini-game is called "so good," and one video calls a stretch of the game a cute Zelda game that "drags on too long." The freshest, "I think Ralsei Has a Lore Dump Quota....," is moving fastest of anything on the channel only hours after it went up. An older question, whether anybody found Spamton Neo on their own, is still pulling viewers eleven days on.
The channel as a whole had a slower stretch than usual, with daily views well under its normal level. That was true across nearby animation channels too. Among them, only Spacestation Animation Shorts drew more daily views, and DevilArtemis ran at less than half its usual pace.
