Hot potatoes and wormholes turn Skippy T's TNT test sideways

Failboat and JayMoji join the channel's only new upload, a mod showcase that has passed 200,000 views.

Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.

I Tried Every Illegal Minecraft TNT

Failboat's first complaint is wonderfully literal: "I died from a hot potato!" The opening explosive scatters burning potatoes across the arena, setting the terms for Skippy T's latest Minecraft experiment. Ordinary demolition is not really on the menu.

"I Tried Every Illegal Minecraft TNT" was the channel's only upload this week. Skip, Failboat and JayMoji test and score custom explosives that do considerably more than leave holes: Wormhole TNT pulls blocks into a black sphere and sends the players to distant biomes, while another variety builds a mountain above the clouds. These are modded gameplay effects, not forbidden items from the standard game. The description also openly explains that the channel uses commands and altered gameplay to make its entertainment videos.

The showcase has reached roughly 206,000 views and supplies most of the channel's daily viewing right now. In the comments, the return to modded-TNT showcases brings out memories of watching them years ago. Other viewers keep getting distracted by Skip's computer background.

Older multiplayer experiments provide the next pockets of momentum: the block-morph hide-and-seek session with Branzy, Failboat and JayMoji, followed by the repeatedly translated Undertale run. The hide-and-seek upload came from the Best of Friends charity-stream event, giving that gathering another life beyond the broadcasts.

Subscribers grew modestly over the week, although daily views are below Skippy T's usual pace. Among nearby Minecraft channels, Johnny World had a particularly busy viewing week, while FalseSymmetry's daily viewing is running well above normal. For Skippy T, the fresh TNT experiment is where most of the action is.
