Still the old man #shorts #movie
Walt Kowalski, the growling Korean War veteran Clint Eastwood plays in Gran Torino, is the reason 酱sir电影局 is having a big few days. The clips channel cuts scenes from well-known films and series in After Effects, and it put up "Still the old man #shorts #movie" on September 29. Its first day was a quiet one, a little over 8,000 views. Four days later it has passed 125,000, and most of those came in the last day alone.
Eastwood directed the 2008 film as well as starring in it, and the comment section reads like a small fan club for him. One viewer remembers working at a movie theater when the film came out, writing it off as slow and dark, and coming round to it years later. Several have noticed the blond young man in the scene: he is Scott Eastwood, Clint's son, who plays Trey in the film, and one viewer enjoys the joke of a son on screen cheering his own father on as an old man. Others answer with nods to Dirty Harry and his most famous question about feeling lucky.
The channel went back to the same film on October 2 with a second Gran Torino short, this one about the way a real man talks. Its most watched upload of the week comes from elsewhere, though: a scene from the 1994 comedy It Could Happen to You, with Nicolas Cage as a New York cop who can read trouble at a glance. Between them, the channel's daily views are running at more than twice their usual pace.

What viewers say
Grand Torino. I worked at a movie theater at 18. When this film came out. I thought it was dark, slow, and Clint was past his prime acting days. But boy was I wrong. Eventually the movie grew on me and I watched it one day for free.
