Video taking off 12x its usual first day

Fury's 'something BIG' teaser nearly catches Queensberry's own press conference stream

The short clip is running about twelve times a usual first day for Frank Warren's channel, and its top comment says the big plan left out Eddie Hearn entirely.

Why this story? The video opened at a pace of 73,740 views a day, 12 times a normal first day on this channel (6,122).

What did Tyson Fury have planned for the press conference? Queensberry's short teaser keeps that secret in its title. Thirteen hours after it went up, it had passed 53,000 views and was on course for about twelve times what a new video on Frank Warren's channel usually draws in its first day.

That puts it close to the main event. As we reported here, the complete live stream of Fury and Anthony Joshua's launch press conference was the busiest thing on the channel. The teaser is now not far behind it and well clear of everything else posted the same day. A sit-down in which Fury and Warren talk up his chances, and in which Fury says he wants a third fight with Oleksandr Usyk, has about half the teaser's views. The clips of the two heavyweights taking their seats and squaring up stayed in the low thousands.

The comments have their own reading of the big plan. The most-liked one points out that Fury said nothing at all about Eddie Hearn, Joshua's longtime promoter, and another viewer jokes that Fury hardly got a word in. Below that the fight itself takes over. Some back Fury's movement and stamina, some back Joshua's power, and several are simply relieved the fight is finally being made.

The stream's description calls it a fight a decade in the making, and for most of that decade Fury and Joshua were the two biggest heavyweight names in Britain without ever sharing a ring. On this channel there is no doubt whose corner the camera is in. Queensberry has long promoted Fury, and the clip people are pressing play on is the one with his name and his promise in the title.
