Gold-plated turbos give Pushing Pistons a SEMA spectacle
The lifted Ford's wheels, suspension and even train horns get the gold treatment in the week's most-watched new upload.
Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.
This 24k Gold Truck is the most wild truck I’ve seen at SEMA
Pushing Pistons drew roughly 13.6 million views across its catalog this week, comfortably the largest weekly audience among its nearby motoring peers. Six new uploads brought a particularly extravagant selection of machinery, with a gold-detailed Ford outside the Las Vegas Convention Center supplying the centerpiece.
"If you like your trucks dipped in gold, I got you," the host says. The walkaround starts with twin turbochargers above the hood, then moves down to wheels, spinning center caps, suspension parts and train horns. He says the owner told him the components are gold-plated; close-ups also reveal engraving on the grille and drivetrain. Even at its towering display height, the truck apparently has plenty of upward travel left: the presenter says it's sitting at less than a third of its maximum ride height.
That upload reached roughly 233,000 views, narrowly more than "This Miata is 100% stock if anyone asks 🥲". Those two are also the channel's busiest videos right now, with a Honda Civic boasting an extraordinary speaker count close behind in daily viewing. Toyota's tracked Snowhunter SEMA build and a widebody Lamborghini Temerario round out the week's more conspicuous modifications, alongside a nighttime look at Audi Q9 lighting.
The audience is growing briskly: nearly half the past month's subscriber gain arrived this week. CarExpert had a broadly typical viewing day, while Sparks Motors was quieter than usual. For Pushing Pistons, daily viewing is running well above its normal level, with the gold truck, the supposedly stock Miata and the speaker-packed Civic all contributing.
