Latrell Mitchell shares his four-step setup on the NRL channel
The league's only new upload takes viewers onto the training field for a first-person place-kicking lesson.
Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.
Come kick with TrellMit! #nrl #rlwc2026
Latrell Mitchell checks the ball's seam and valve, takes four steps back and adds a little dancing rhythm. Before the kick itself, the NRL's latest upload makes room for the routine behind it.
"Come kick with TrellMit! #nrl #rlwc2026" was the league's only new video this week, reaching roughly 62,000 views. Mitchell explains his alignment from a first-person camera angle before a wider shot shows the ball sailing between the uprights. His closing instruction is pleasingly uncomplicated: "Get your routine, do your thing, have fun with it, practice. Love yez."
One viewer has a tougher assignment in mind: try it from the sideline. Others pick up on his sunglasses and the celebratory call after the kick.
The tutorial is drawing the most daily views among the channel's currently busiest uploads. October's "Top 10 Foot Races | Match Highlights | NRL 2026" and "Top 10 Tries | Match Highlights | NRL 2026" remain active too. The former pairs speedsters including Xavier Savage and Hamiso Tabuai-Fidow with their pursuers; the latter brings together finishes from Sua Fa'alogo, Keano Kini and Brian To'o, among others.
Across the catalogue, the NRL added about 1.7 million views and made a modest subscriber gain. Its daily viewing is above its usual level, though nearby sports channels WST and the Professional Darts Corporation had larger viewing weeks. For the NRL, a sparse upload schedule has left room for both the season's spectacular finishes and Mitchell's close-up lesson in how to make one.
