Video taking off 6.6x its usual first day

Ocho in a hospital gown, Unc on Phil Collins: Nightcap's Week 4 marathon

The reaction episode runs close to three hours of NFL Sunday, but its comment section keeps returning to a fever reading and a Houston receiver's last name.

Why this story? The video opened at a pace of 626,397 views a day, 6.6 times a normal first day on this channel (94,880).

Shannon Sharpe, Chad "Ochocinco" Johnson and "Iso" Joe Johnson posted their Week 4 wrap on Monday, and a day later it had been watched more than 600,000 times. A full-length Nightcap episode usually opens with something closer to 95,000.

It is a long one, with a chapter for nearly every game of the Sunday. The Panthers' win over Jared Goff's Lions on Sunday Night Football comes first. Then Dak Prescott's Cowboys edge CJ Stroud's Texans, the Bengals fall to Jacksonville and the 49ers handle Bo Nix's Broncos, before a quick run through the rest of the league and a closing Q&A.

The football is not what the comments are about. The moment most of them mention is Ocho turning up on camera in a hospital gown, along with a fever reading he gave that commenters point out no human could survive. Plenty of others send get-well wishes. The Texans chapter produced the other running joke: Unc slid from Houston receiver Nico Collins to Phil Collins and "In the Air Tonight," and viewers keep repeating it back. Iso Joe, a seven-time NBA All-Star in his playing days, gets his own share of credit for a line about a team not being worth two flies. A large crowd also checks in from four and five in the morning, which suits a show built to go up moments after the games end.

The comment section filled about twice as fast as on a usual long episode. The clips cut from the same night, on Jameis Winston's Giants and a possible Tyreek Hill return to Kansas City, stayed far smaller. The channel as a whole is running well under its usual daily pace, and this marathon is doing most of the work.
