'AP Poll is biased for the SEC': Will Compton and Taylor Lewan's Week 5 recap

Nebraska's missing ranking, a South Carolina collapse and Michigan's loss to Minnesota fill the episode, and the most liked comment asks for Josh Pate.

Week 5 CFB Reaction: AP Poll Is BIASED For The SEC + Alabama Is One Of The Best Teams In The CountryWeek 5 CFB Reaction: AP Poll Is BIASED For The SEC + Alabama Is One Of The Best Teams In The Country

Will Compton and Taylor Lewan spent Monday arguing with the AP Top 25, and their Week 5 college football recap became the busiest new video on Bussin' With The Boys. Eight hours after it went up, it had close to 25,000 views. A regular episode here usually ends its whole first day near 4,000.

The title states the case: the poll, it says, is biased toward the SEC, and Alabama is one of the best teams in the country. The chapters cover a lot more. The two former NFL players ask why five-win Nebraska still isn't ranked and whether Alabama belongs above Ohio State. They go through South Carolina's latest blown lead, this time against Kentucky, and debate whether Shane Beamer's buyout is realistic. Missouri quarterback Austin Simmons gets his own segment after a 45-17 win over No. 8 Florida, Miami's win over Clemson gets one too, and Michigan's loss to Minnesota closes the Big Ten talk. A shorter clip cut from the episode, on the poll's "biggest fraud," went up the next day.

Two of those subjects sit close to home. Lewan was an All-American tackle at Michigan, and Compton played linebacker at Nebraska. That makes the opening segment, a Bussin' on Campus trip headed to Lincoln, something of a homecoming.

On a usual first day the comment section here holds only a handful of notes. This time dozens arrived within hours. Viewers argue over whether the SEC teams will sort themselves out once they start playing each other, and one asks what keeps Georgia ahead of Alabama apart from preseason opinion. Another enjoys the random jump scares, perhaps a side effect of the office's Spooktober makeover, which the channel showed off the same day. The most liked comment, with a long thread of replies under it, asks for more Josh Pate, whose college picks, as we reported here, drew a far bigger crowd than usual to the channel last week.
