Canceled ferries at port and continuing wind and rough-sea alerts show the disruption left by , even after the island's typhoon warning was lifted. Meanwhile, another storm, , has developed near , raising questions about whether South Korea could face a typhoon's influence into November.

South Korea's Korean Broadcasting System (KBS News) brings those developments together in a compilation of weather bulletins. Its Jeju coverage describes rainfall on Mount Hallasan, interrupted passenger sailings and an expected storm track, but does not establish that In-fa will make landfall in South Korea.

The timing is central to the report. specialist Kim Dae-jun says Champi will be recorded as the latest typhoon to affect the country since observations began in 1951. In-fa's development follows that already unusually late encounter.

Moon Il-ju, head of Jeju National University's Typhoon Research Center, points to longer summers and warmer seas associated with global warming as possible background conditions allowing storms to persist. He also discusses the conditions needed for a typhoon to approach Korea. Separately, Kyungpook National University geography professor Kang Nam-young explains how El Niño can contribute to higher typhoon formation counts.

On land, the bulletins describe a sharp turn toward winter. Weathercaster Choi Hyun-mi reports cold-wave advisories across much of the interior, alongside strong-wind alerts. The forecast puts Seoul close to freezing the following morning, with some inland areas dropping below it.

This is a repeating sequence of reports rather than a continuously changing live update: the opening set of weather forecasts and Jeju storm coverage starts again just after seven minutes.
