The tanker is still straddling the tracks when the crossing barriers come down. Traffic ahead has slowed, leaving the truck stopped in the middle of a railway crossing in Poland's Poznań region.
South Korea's Munhwa Broadcasting Corporation (MBC) presents the CCTV sequence as a narrowly avoided disaster. Its captions date the incident to October 26 and credit the footage to PLK, Poland's railway infrastructure manager.
The truck enters the crossing behind other vehicles, slows and stops. Warning lights activate and the barriers begin to descend. The tanker moves forward but cannot clear them, leaving its tank over the railway line.
A truck driver waiting on the opposite side gets out and rushes toward the barrier. He lifts it by hand, opening a way for the tanker to move off the tracks. Just seconds after it clears the crossing, a passenger train passes through the space the truck had occupied.
The report, told through captions without spoken narration, drew about 1.3 million views since yesterday. Its final images show the tanker safely beyond the tracks.
