Minion guards his dinner rights on Nate Petroski's patio

Dogs, a mysteriously active electric wagon and tiny-house progress fill a 15-upload week at NarroWay Homestead.

Minion thinks Az is going to steal his taxes and he wants no part of it!

Azlan approaches the patio chair, and Minion has plenty to say about it. Nate Petroski pets both dogs at once, reassuring the smaller, whining Minion that Az is allowed to be there. The supposed threat to his "taxes," as the title puts it, is a possible claim on food scraps.

"Minion thinks Az is going to steal his taxes and he wants no part of it!" was the week's most-watched new upload, reaching about 120,000 views. In the comments, dachshund owners recognize the vocalizations and swap stories about small dogs with very large opinions. Nate's own verdict is more diplomatic: "Good dogs. Good dogs."

Az had other business too: a trip into town and a claim on a new dog house. Away from the dogs, Nate described an electric wagon unexpectedly stirring into action with a battery left inside since its last use the previous year. His "ghost wagon" supplied a different sort of homestead disturbance.

The tiny house offered more tangible progress. The chimney and gutters are installed, the woodstove has arrived, and rainwater pipes remain on the job list, with solar installation approaching.

Subscribers stayed unchanged this week, while daily viewing is running well below Nate's usual level. Even so, his weekly views gain was second-largest among the nearby outdoors and homesteading channels, with Farming While Beige having the group's biggest week.

The newest dog lessons carry the most momentum: "Correcting poor behavior like a pack mate #narrowayhomestead #livestockguardiandog" is drawing the most daily views, while the month-old boundaries video remains busy. On this homestead, managing the dogs' shared space is a continuing project of its own.
