Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.

The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (2003) - She Had A Gun Up Her WHAT?!?! (1/11) | Movieclips

Movieclips collected roughly 84 million views across the week, but its biggest new upload begins with a van ride rather than Leatherface himself. Lauren German plays the distressed hitchhiker whose encounter with the young travelers turns their road trip into something far more disturbing in The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (2003).

The clips channel posted fifteen uploads, with scenes from that remake and The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning (2006) filling its most watched new arrivals. These are excerpts from the films, not new productions: Jessica Biel's Erin tries to get a van running in one, while Jordana Brewster's Chrissie faces the Hewitt family's dinner table in another.

The hitchhiker scene has the largest audience among the week's new uploads despite arriving after the prequel clips. In the comments, viewers discuss how the remake compares with the original, with several singling out Biel's performance. Other scenes from the remake, featuring Morgan's sacrifice and Erin's attempted escape, are also among the channel's most active recent uploads.

The Halloween selection arrives as daily channel viewing runs well above its usual level, though subscribers were unchanged over the week. Movieclips had the largest weekly views total among the peers with available weekly totals; Mr Bean and Corridor Crew also drew substantial audiences. For Movieclips, the contrast is scale: a vast back catalog supplies most of the viewing, while this week's fresh shelf belongs firmly to Texas horror.
