HISHE turns the Backrooms into a furniture-store attraction

Captain Clark's pirate-costumed sales pitch gives an eerie labyrinth a commercial purpose in the channel's new animated alternate ending.

Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.

Endless corridors, roaming monsters, melting furniture: Captain Clark sees a business opportunity. In How It Should Have Ended's new cartoon, discovering a doorway into the Backrooms is less a reason to flee than a chance to rescue his failing furniture store.

"How Backrooms Should Have Ended" turns that idea into a pirate-fronted TV infomercial, complete with customer testimonials and an owner distinctly unhappy to learn someone found another entrance without paying. Tina Alexander produced the sketch, Daniel Baxter animated it, and both share writing and voice credits.

The channel's only upload this week reached about 161,000 views in its first twelve hours. It's also the channel's most active video right now. Daily viewing across How It Should Have Ended is running nearly half above its usual level, although the subscriber count was unchanged over the week.

Viewers are picking apart the sales pitch: several discuss the instinct to monetize a supernatural discovery, while others point to the commercial remembering that the shop also sells furniture. There are calls for Doctor Strange references, too, a familiar superhero-shaped request beneath this departure into horror.

That superhero audience has other cartoons to watch. "Spider-Man Catches Jean Grey" remains active a month after publication, alongside the longer "How Spider-Man Brand New Day Should Have Ended," whose Super Cafe debate asks whether Ned and MJ should regain their memories. But this week's fresh proposition belongs to Clark: why waste an impossible dimension when you could put it in a commercial?
