The five easiest specialties to match into, by Med School Insiders' count
Kevin Jubbal's one new video turns the 2026 Match data upside down, nineteen days after its companion counted down the hardest.
Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.
New 2026 Least Competitive Doctor Specialties
Five days old, "New 2026 Least Competitive Doctor Specialties" is the only new upload on Med School Insiders, and it is the channel's busiest video right now. It drew close to 22,000 views on its first day and has kept going since.
It is the flip side of a video from earlier in September. That one, "New 2026 Most Competitive Doctor Specialties," walked through the top five hardest residencies in the fresh NRMP data, and its description promised a brand-new name at the top of the list. It has passed 110,000 views and is still drawing a steady daily crowd. The new video comes from the other end of the same tables. It covers the five specialties that are easiest to match into, with a caveat in its description that easiest does not mean easy. The point, as Kevin Jubbal, who narrates the channel, frames it, is what an applicant needs to stand a real chance.
Third among the videos with the most daily views is a nearly two-month-old Career Battle that sets neurosurgery against cardiothoracic surgery. It works through training, pay and lifestyle chapter by chapter. Premeds, it seems, keep coming back to the hardest roads in surgery.
Overall the channel is running a little above its usual daily views. Among the health channels nearest it in size, the big stretch belongs to Dr. Tracey Marks and Kati Morton, both well above their normal pace.
