What goes in the lunchbox when your son dresses up as a raptor trainer for spirit week? Breanna Stark, the brisket-smoking "mom friend" of @marriedtobbq, answered with a dinosaur theme, and the short passed a million views in four days.
The costume is the star of the comments. Viewers who know their Jurassic World recognized Owen Grady, Chris Pratt's raptor handler, and many cheered the choice. Others turned the comment section into a fossil seminar: real velociraptors were far smaller than the film versions, and a chocolate alligator in the lunch got promoted to an ancient crocodile relative. Plenty of people also thanked her for blurring his face.
Two days later came a pumpkin patch lunch for spooky season, and that one is now drawing views faster than anything else on the channel. A September lunch of mini sandwiches and camouflaged lions, past three million, is still finding people too.
The barbecue side of the channel kept going: a smoked cream cheese topped Frito Pie style, a try at the viral creamy corn on the cob and a caramel apple dip rounded out seven uploads. With the lunches leading, the channel is drawing well above its usual daily views. Among food channels of her size, Steve of The Vivaldi Way, Louis Howard and Ahmad Noori are also running busy, while Clement Leung is having a calmer stretch.
