Martial law, Man City's tax bill and Christa Pike: LBC's Thursday crowd

Andrew Marr hosted the two busiest clips of fifteen uploads, one with Simon Marks on Trump's Time interview, one with Dan Neidle and David Conn on City's accounts.

Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.

Andrew Marr had the day. Both of LBC's busiest new clips came from his program on October 1, and both had passed six figures within nine hours.

The bigger of the two picks up Donald Trump's Time Magazine interview, in which he would not rule out declaring martial law around the midterms. Simon Marks, the station's regular voice from Washington and the guest of our last note here, joins Marr to talk it through, along with Pete Hegseth's speech to what the description calls the "Woke Department."

The second stays closer to home. A week after Manchester City were found guilty on 115 charges of breaching Premier League financial rules, tax expert Dan Neidle sets out why he has reported the club to HMRC over Roberto Mancini's contract. David Conn, the investigative journalist who has spent years writing about City's finances, then gives Marr his reading of the new twist.

The rest of the fifteen uploads ran across the station's schedule. Lewis Goodall joined Shelagh Fogarty on Christa Pike's failed execution in Tennessee, a full Iain Dale show went up, James O'Brien explained his reservations about rejoining the EU, and Nick Ferrari asked Suella Braverman, now with Reform, where patriotism ends and xenophobia begins.

The channel as a whole is running about a quarter above its usual daily views, past two million a day. Among the broadcasters near its size, only TalkTV comes close to that, and Times Radio and CBS Sunday Morning are both a little busier than usual as well.
