Kevin Olusola's book-order gratitude gets a 35-year comedy test

His only new upload turns My Voice Is a Beat into a silent sketch about early birds and very late readers.

Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.

MY REACTION 😂 #shorts #MyVoiceIsABeat

Kevin Olusola clutches his chest in gratitude, counts on his fingers, then starts checking an imaginary watch. The captions do the time traveling: readers order his children's book before release, on release day, and eventually decades afterward.

"MY REACTION 😂 #shorts #MyVoiceIsABeat" stretches that wait to 35 years, with Kevin collapsing backward onto the couch along the way. It's a staged comedy Short rather than a musical performance, and his description supplies the affectionate counterpoint: he says he'll remain grateful whenever people bring the story home.

The week's sole upload reached roughly 2,700 views and currently has the strongest daily momentum of his videos. Behind it is "WHAT INSTRUMENTS DO YOU PLAY IN PENTATONIX?? #shorts #pentatonix", a particularly apt question for the group's beatboxer and cellist. October's "WHAT!?! #shorts" also continues to draw views; in that video's description, Kevin celebrates My Voice Is a Beat being named among Barnes & Noble's Best Audiobooks of 2026.

Subscribers held steady at 487,000. Among nearby music channels, SIENNA SPIRO had a much busier growth week, while Tim Minchin's subscriber count also stayed unchanged. Kevin's channel has now passed 40 million total views, a threshold it was approaching in October, with a bookish comedy sketch adding a small new chapter to a catalog better known for cello, beatboxing and covers.
