An alligator for A, and a slow first stroll from A to Z for Kids Academy
The learning site's one new upload pairs every letter of the alphabet with an animal and its sound, while a nursery rhyme from mid-September keeps it company.
Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.
ABC Video for Kids | Full English Alphabet for Preschool & Kindergarten - Kids Academy
Kids Academy, which describes itself simply as a learning website for Pre-K to 3rd Grade, posted one video in seven days, and it goes right back to the beginning. "ABC Video for Kids | Full English Alphabet for Preschool & Kindergarten - Kids Academy" walks from A to Z, giving each letter its own animal and phonetic sound, starting with an alligator for A. The description pitches it at parents practicing at home and teachers in the classroom alike.
It has had a gentle start, a little under 2,000 views in three days, though it is already gathering views a little faster than anything else on the channel. Close behind is "Hickory Dickory Dock with Cute Animals!", the old clock-and-mouse rhyme, now nearly three weeks old, and a short from the same alphabet world, "D is for Dragon, E is for Elephant! ABC Shorts!", is still finding viewers too.
The new uploads are only a small part of the picture. The channel as a whole is drawing about 400,000 views a day, well above its usual level, which suggests families are digging into the back catalog. Among the children's learning channels around it, Handyman Hal and Rock 'N Learn are also running ahead of their usual pace, while ArtTime Ideas moves on a scale of its own, at more than ten million views a day.
