The championship came in Toronto. But Marc Gasol made room on his ring for the Memphis teammates who had helped shape him.

In KG Certified's fast-spreading Short, Zach Randolph says Gasol had "GnG" engraved on his championship ring, a nod to the Grizzlies' Grit and Grind identity. The conversation turns a story about basketball toughness into something more personal: what happens when a teammate keeps backing you until you believe in yourself.

Randolph describes leading by example and boosting Gasol's confidence during games. Kevin Garnett remembers the unexpected result: Gasol began talking tough on the court, repeating the Memphis mantra back at him. "I said 'Are you Marc Gasol?!'" Garnett recalls.

That surprise gives the clip its humor, but Randolph's account gives it its point. Gasol became a Defensive Player of the Year in Memphis before winning the 2019 championship with the Raptors. His success elsewhere didn't erase the influence of Randolph and Tony Allen.
