Talent isn't the sticking point. For Kevin Garnett and Matt Barnes, Philadelphia's championship question is whether Joel Embiid can adjust to a team with more people setting the terms.
In "Can Joel Embiid Keep Up With LeBron and the New Sixers?", the pair discuss a Philadelphia lineup built around Tyrese Maxey, Jaylen Brown, LeBron James and Embiid. Maxey gets superstar billing, but the conversation keeps returning to what Embiid must contribute beyond scoring: sustained effort, game readiness and a willingness to accept fewer touches and veteran guidance.
The discussion drew about 33,000 views in its first 12 hours, already far beyond KG Certified's usual full-day audience for regular videos. The comment section was also nearly seven times busier than a typical first day.
That response has a specific sticking point. Several viewers argue that Embiid has already embraced Maxey's leadership and a smaller offensive role. Others question the hosts' defensive concerns, pointing to Philadelphia's game against Cleveland. Those are viewers' counterarguments, not a settled answer to the hosts' questions.
Defense gives the discussion another focus: can V.J. Edgecombe take the toughest perimeter assignment every night, and can LeBron help establish that expectation? By the end, Garnett and Barnes have moved from the names on the roster to the demands of playing together: accepting roles, staying healthy and remaining mentally strong.
