Kairouz Bros posted "What has happened to Coogee Beach? 😭" on Tuesday, and within its first eighteen hours it had passed 76,000 views. A new upload on this comedy channel usually reaches only a small part of that crowd on its first day. This one is on course for about fourteen times the normal opening.

The rest of the channel is running below its usual daily pace, and so are most of the sketch channels around it, Jenna Lu and Luisi among them. This video went the other way.

The title reveals only a place and a crying face. Coogee is one of Sydney's best-known beaches, in the eastern suburbs at the southern end of the clifftop coastal walk from Bondi. Maybe a question about a beach that so many Sydneysiders know is simply hard to scroll past?
