A new upload on Eggdar usually has a respectable first day by clips-channel standards, a few hundred thousand views before it joins the back catalog. The Parks and Recreation clip posted on Tuesday passed three million views before it had been up a full day. That is about eleven times the channel's normal opening.

It also arrived during a soft stretch. Eggdar as a whole is drawing well below its usual daily views, so a single scene is carrying an unusual share of the load. The last two videos to break out were movie clips, a Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 promo and a Despicable Me 4 joke. This time it is television. Likes arrived by the tens of thousands, while comments stayed just above a hundred.

The title bills the moment as an Aubrey Plaza improvisation that Chris Pratt somehow got through without cracking up. The two played April Ludgate and Andy Dwyer on the NBC comedy, which ran for seven seasons from 2009 to 2015. Their characters' pairing of deadpan and goofball became one of the show's best-loved romances. Eggdar did not make the scene, it only clipped it. Even so, on a slow week for the channel, a sitcom that ended more than a decade ago is what drew the crowd.
