I thought wrong 💀

A new Brooke Monk upload usually spends its first day gathering a crowd that is modest by her standards. "I thought wrong 💀" did not. Seven hours after it went up, it had passed half a million views, a pace that points to roughly eighteen times her usual opening day.

It is her second fast starter in a few days. "Would you wear it?" broke away over the weekend, and this one opened quicker still. The reaction has been almost entirely a tap of the like button, with tens of thousands of likes and only a scattering of comments.

The title gives little away beyond a wrong guess, and the skull emoji is internet shorthand for being mortified or laughing too hard to cope. That fits her. She built her following on TikTok with short, self-mocking comedy and lip-syncs before bringing the same style to YouTube.

Most of the big comedy-skit channels around her were running below their usual daily pace, which makes her short an exception.
