Georgie's search for a new partner brings Heartland back to Phoenix

Eight uploads include a difficult horse-shopping trip and a first look at Season 20's "The Extra Mile."

Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.

Georgie is trying to find a new horse to replace PhoenixGeorgie is trying to find a new horse to replace Phoenix

The horses are good on paper. That is precisely Georgie's problem: none gives her the connection she had with Phoenix.

Heartland's most-watched new upload follows her through a succession of practice jumps, searching for something that a tidy performance alone cannot supply. "I think I'm more nervous now than before a horse show," she says on arrival. By the time she dismounts from a responsive, careful horse, the real obstacle is clear: she is measuring every prospective partner against Phoenix. The scene has reached about 72,000 views.

Viewers are discussing that distinction between finding another horse and replacing a bond. Some describe the difficulty of choosing a compatible riding partner; others ask what happened to Phoenix and which season the scene comes from. The clip itself keeps its attention on Georgie's uncertainty, rather than answering all those questions.

Across eight uploads, the channel also made room for Winn recognizing Nathan in another cowgirl's social feed. But the strongest daily momentum now belongs to "Heartland Season 20, Episode 6 'The Extra Mile' First Look | CBC". Its preview sets up Lou and Georgie's efforts to save Amy following the endurance race, alongside difficult choices for Katie, River and Dex. It also had the strongest opening-day viewing among the week's featured uploads.

The channel added about a thousand subscribers over seven days, while daily views are running above their usual level. Its weekly audience remains smaller than those of the nearby television channels, including BritBox and Will & Grace. For Heartland, the week's most substantial new audience gathered around a very particular equestrian dilemma: a horse can do everything asked of it and still not feel like your partner.

  • In my opinion, all horses are good... but you can understand Georgie because she's looking for just the same horse as the one she had. It's not easy to replace someone else. I can understand her.❤

  • When your heart horse is retired and you need a new partner it's understandable that you're nervous and doubting yourself. All horses are good but just like friendships and relationships, you need a bond and to be compatible. If you're both not able to support each other through a course, it's not gonna be an easy ride.

  • Poor Gorgie. There is no replacement for your once in a lifetime horse. Finding a special conection again is so hard.
