Gossip travels beyond the house. In "The Kemal Pamuk Affair | Downton Abbey", the Turkish visitor's arrival gives way to letters, diplomatic whispers and Cora's difficult conversation with Violet.
The official channel's most-watched new upload revisits the first-series storyline, with Theo James as Pamuk opposite Michelle Dockery's Mary. It has reached roughly 14,000 views. Rather than staying with the visit itself, the compilation follows the work of containing its aftermath: Carson brings news of a circulating story, Cora admits her involvement to Violet, and Evelyn Napier offers Mary help with the embassy gossip. One viewer recognises James retrospectively; another points out that the opening scenes aren't arranged chronologically.
Secrets connect all three of the week's uploads. "Searching for Purpose and Truth | Downton Abbey" finds Edith helping a wounded officer write a letter while Rosamund encourages Mary to investigate Lavinia. "The Marconi Confession | Downton Abbey" then puts Lavinia under Mary's questioning, alongside a formal inspection of Downton's convalescent wards and Thomas enjoying his authority.
That Marconi clip has the strongest daily momentum now, followed by the Pamuk compilation. The older "Scandal, Secrets & Romance: Downton Abbey's Most Shocking Moments | Downton Abbey" also continues to draw viewers, keeping several of these intertwined stories in circulation.
The channel added about 1,000 subscribers over the week, a modest gain. Its weekly viewing was close to Heartland's, while Young Sheldon had a much busier week. For Downton Abbey, the new selections offer two familiar kinds of pressure: what happens upstairs, and how quickly downstairs hears about it.
