Godzilla Minus One still leads TOHO's trailer lineup
The official channel added about 217,000 subscribers in a week, while Minus Zero trailers sit alongside its earlier hit.
Why this story? The channel went from 665,000 to 882,000 subscribers this week.
Godzilla Day is coming in hot. 🔥 Don’t miss it on November 3rd.
TOHO's official North American Godzilla channel has grown by nearly a third in a week, reaching roughly 882,000 subscribers. But its most-watched regular upload still belongs to Godzilla Minus One, not Minus Zero.
"GODZILLA MINUS ONE Official Trailer 2" heads the channel's all-time regular-video list. The September IMAX trailer for Minus Zero sits next, ahead of the original Minus One trailer. That puts the film that won an Oscar for visual effects squarely in the picture as TOHO promotes another Godzilla title.
The subscriber jump is much sharper than the change in daily viewing, which is running only modestly above the channel's usual pace. It is a striking expansion of the subscriber count, rather than an equally dramatic surge across every measure.
Meanwhile, Minus Zero's promotion has moved beyond conventional trailers: the channel's Times Square upload brings the monster to a billboard, placing city-sized spectacle beside the film previews.
