Kane's England case climbs the pyramid on GOAL's FanZone

Eleven uploads pair all-time football arguments with FIFPRO World11 quizzes, including a test based only on players' eyes.

Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.

Is Harry Kane now England's GREATEST ever player? 🦁Is Harry Kane now England's GREATEST ever player? 🦁

Top 20, top ten, top five: the interviewer keeps raising the stakes until the fan has to consider Harry Kane for England's very highest spot.

That ranking-pyramid street interview, "Is Harry Kane now England's GREATEST ever player? 🦁", was GOAL's FanZone's most-watched new upload of the week, reaching roughly 430,000 views. The supporter builds his case around Kane's England scoring record and a Ballon d'Or, as presented in the clip. "The goals for England, he's the top scorer," he says.

The comments supply the historical counterweight. Bobby Charlton's World Cup and individual honours feature prominently, while other viewers bring Bobby Moore and Kevin Keegan into the conversation. There is a useful distinction running through the discussion: greatest English footballer, or greatest performer specifically for England?

Across the clips channel's eleven uploads, choosing and recognising players provided the recurring game. Past FIFPRO World11 selections supplied midfield and forward shortlists, with names ranging from Andrea Pirlo and Andrés Iniesta to Didier Drogba and Thierry Henry. Junior faced a different problem in "Match the EYES to the former FIFPRO World11 player 👀": identifying footballers without the rest of their faces.

That eyes quiz has the strongest daily momentum, followed by the missing-player World11 quiz and the pass-it-on challenge to name a slightly worse player.

GOAL's FanZone added subscribers over the week and drew about 9.3 million views, the largest weekly view gain among the nearby channels with weekly totals available. Its daily viewing is nevertheless a little below its usual level. Subscriber growth was modest rather than a sudden leap, with the week's football arguments doing more of the talking.
