Death toll CLIMBS in Poland after shooting
Three people were found dead at the Kraków shooting suspect's home, Poland's prime minister said, according to Fox News's report. The discovery is a further development after the deadly attack near the city's Main Market Square.
Reporting from London, correspondent Stephanie Bennett says the people found at the residence were likely family members. Their identities and the circumstances of their deaths are not established in the segment, and the report does not give a combined death toll for the two locations.
Bennett reports that four women and two men were killed in the shooting near the square. She says the gunman drove through the busy tourist area and fired at random. Emergency-service footage shows the response around the scene.
A Polish police spokesperson, heard through an English translation, says officers shot, wounded and arrested the suspect after he opened fire on responding police. Two officers were among those injured, Bennett reports.
Bennett also relays the interior minister's statement that the shooter was influenced by far-right ideology. She closes with the mayor's announcement of a mourning period lasting through Wednesday.
Poland’s second-largest city, on the Vistula River. Its Old Town is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
