Mark Kelly on Pete Hegseth heads a Face the Nation Sunday of Iran, Alito and a House poll

The Arizona senator's interview with Margaret Brennan passed 60,000 views in about thirteen hours, one of fifteen uploads in the week.

Face the Nation put fifteen videos up this week, and as usual the Sunday broadcast supplied most of them. The quickest was Margaret Brennan's conversation with Sen. Mark Kelly, the former Navy pilot and astronaut who has spent this campaign season stumping for fellow Democrats. The title carries his sharpest line, calling Pete Hegseth "the most unqualified Secretary of Defense we've ever had," while the description has him reporting "a lot of energy" among voters who are fed up with Washington. It passed 60,000 views in its first half day, roughly twice the pace of anything else from the same morning.

The rest of Sunday spread across the news. Energy Secretary Chris Wright said the president was "well aware of the risks to energy flows" before launching the war with Iran. Anthony Salvanto walked through a new CBS News Battleground Tracker poll that gives Democrats a 229-206 edge in the House. Jan Crawford sat down with Justice Samuel Alito, in a rare interview ahead of his new book and the Court's new term, and he warned that political attacks on the Court can be "quite damaging."

Two uploads followed the flydubai attack: a report by Dov Lieber in which the pilot who survived a midair stabbing speaks out, and a Sunday update from Matt Gutman saying the suspect is being questioned in the United Arab Emirates and Israeli investigators believe he acted alone.

Overall it was a slower stretch than usual for the channel, with daily views well under its normal level and the smallest weekly gain among the news broadcasters near its size. Fox News Clips, by contrast, ran at about double its usual pace. Face the Nation still added around 1,000 subscribers, bringing it to 821,000.
