Trade pipelines, flight routes and population maps give Drew Durnil plenty to investigate before he starts redrawing borders. In DruuuWu's most watched new upload, "This New Map Game Lets You Do Almost ANYTHING?!", he plays China in the early-access strategy game Geoplanetical. The title's promise gets a rather destructive test.
Drew begins by exploring the simulation's extensive overlays. "This is such a breath of fresh air. I'm seeing so many things that I'm actually not used to at all..." he says. An invasion of Myanmar brings territory, then international sanctions. His subsequent attack on Taiwan escalates into a nuclear strike that triggers an in-game nuclear winter.
The upload has reached roughly 217,000 views. Alongside discussion of that escalation, viewers flag a practical mix-up: the description names StateOS: The Political Sandbox, while the game Drew introduces and plays is Geoplanetical. Others ask for another session or propose a Vatican City playthrough, familiar territory for his map-game experiments.
The week's other uploads offer different seats of power. "I Played the WEIRDEST US President Simulator Ever Made?!" is currently drawing the most daily views, while his Dummynation outing attempts to rebuild the Roman Empire from the Kingdom of Jerusalem. The older Solar Nations 2 video, billed as a combination of HOI4 and Stellaris, also remains active.
DruuuWu added a thousand subscribers over the week, bringing the channel close to 600,000. Daily viewing is near its usual level. Among nearby strategy and simulation channels, PragMagik and MadSeasonShow each collected more weekly views, while United Plays had a quieter viewing week. For DruuuWu, the biggest new audience gathered around a sandbox whose diplomatic tools proved less tempting than its nuclear button.
