Katie Marovitch's mock guide fills Dimension 20 Shorts' upload break

An elaborate binder and a tangled planning sheet turn Dragon Master advice into a deadpan promotional sketch.

How To DM Like Katie Marovitch

Katie Marovitch has a binder, a grandly titled guide and an explanation for anyone intimidated by her supposedly cerebral approach to running a game. The planning sheet, crowded with arrows, doodles and names, does rather complicate the reassurance.

That's the joke in "How To DM Like Katie Marovitch", a satirical promotional Short for a Dropout merchandise item, not a straight-faced Dungeons & Dragons tutorial. Marovitch reads from "The Secrets of Dragon Mastering... Revealed!", invoking her bus-based adventures before switching from the elaborate binder to a smartphone.

Dimension 20 Shorts posted nothing new this week. The clips channel's archive added roughly 1,200 views, and its subscriber count held steady. Daily viewing is running at less than half its usual level.

The Marovitch upload remains its most active clip and has reached about 191,000 views. Elsewhere in the tabletop neighborhood, Min-Maxed is enjoying daily viewing well above its usual level, while Taylor's Tavern Tales is also busier than usual. Here, the smaller ongoing trickle includes "How Wrestling Is Like Improv 🤼" and the wonderfully unexplained title "...Snicker Legs?".
