"I was just there to observe and document until I wasn't," Matt says. That is how Diesel Creek acquires another pair of abandoned machines, and how an inspection becomes a hauling job with rather a lot of steel involved.
The Caterpillar D9G's engine won't turn, even with pry bars applied to the flywheel. Getting it home requires Gino's Hitachi excavator, a thick towing cable and a lowboy trailer. The Sakai smooth-drum roller gets a lift onto the trailer too. Later, Kim helps Matt unbolt and torch-cut the D9G's sold rear ripper assembly, making this as much a dismantling and recovery outing as an attempted revival.
The roller supplies the more promising engine work. Matt replaces a leaking fuel primer and bleeds the injectors, but it starts smoking and keeps dying under throttle. A crushed exhaust pipe underneath offers another problem to fix. Cutting away the restriction improves its running, though Matt suspects more fuel-system work remains. The video includes a sponsored work-boot segment.
That outing was the most watched of two new uploads, reaching about 825,000 views. "1950s International TD18 Dozer Sitting 15+ YEARS. (Will it Ever Run Again??)" followed on Saturday and is now drawing the most daily views on the channel. The older Caterpillar 245 shovel revival remains another source of momentum.
Across the week, Diesel Creek added roughly 2.2 million views while its subscriber count held steady. Daily viewing is above its usual level; nearby in the machinery world, MURPHYS DIESEL also had a substantial week. In Matt's comments, the familiar Mack truck gets its own appreciation, while viewers notice the extra Wednesday upload and Kim's willingness to get straight into the work.
