Clyde Do Something reacts to a Dubai cartoon's luxury-toilet contrast
The animated influencer satire drew nearly half a million first-day views, far beyond the channel's usual Short start.
Why this story? The video opened at a pace of 478,627 views a day, 6.4 times a normal first day on this channel (75,308).
Dubai Shower 😭
Poolside, a fictional influencer presents her luxury surroundings as the reward for hard work. Inside the villa, the cartoon has a much cruder explanation waiting for her.
That contrast supplies Clyde Do Something's latest reaction Short, which drew roughly 480,000 views in its first day, more than six times his usual Short audience. It takes his cartoon-reaction format away from the politicians and protesters featured in his earlier uploads and into influencer satire.
The animated character, Valeria, films herself beside an infinity pool before a man calls her indoors. Her cheerful on-camera manner gives way to an eye roll, then returns as she answers him. Inside, a small inflatable pool and men carrying toilet supplies set up the degrading toilet-humor gag. This is an animated sketch, not footage of an actual influencer's experience.
Clyde opens by calling the cartoon "the truth about Dubai influencers." By the closing reaction, his laughter comes with a different verdict: "Yeah, I feel gross inside."
