Clyde Do Something watches a cartoon rioter return for coffee
A smashed café window becomes the setup for political satire in a Short drawing far more early views than usual.
Why this story? The video opened at a pace of 423,145 views a day, 5.7 times a normal first day on this channel (74,510).
They're All Like This 😭
The mask comes off, the laptop opens, and the customer wants an organic, fair-trade oat milk latte. The café he chooses is the same one whose window he has just smashed.
That contradiction drives the animation Clyde Do Something reacts to in "They're All Like This 😭", which reached roughly 184,000 views in seven hours. Its early pace is well above the channel's usual start for Shorts.
Clyde introduces the cartoon as "Modern leftists in a nutshell." It is a satirical portrayal, not footage of an actual protest: an animated activist breaks a Parisian café's window, sets a trash can alight and flees from police before returning as a customer.
His croissant contains an unwelcome reminder of the damage. When the baker explains the broken window, the customer blames fascists, apparently missing his own part in it. Clyde laughs beneath the animation and closes with: "Nothing gets by them."
