Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.

HARRY POTTER AND THE SORCERER'S STONE Movie Reaction! | Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint, Emma Watson

Brandon Shealy spots Professor McGonagall's transformation and offers an immediate assessment: "Oh, it's a cat person." Familiar magic gets a fresh pair of eyes in CinePals' reaction to Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone, with Achara Kirk beside him as the book reader who has seen each film once.

The upload mixes movie excerpts with the hosts' commentary, following Harry from the cupboard under the stairs to Diagon Alley and the Hogwarts Express. It has passed 100,000 views, making it the week's most-watched new post. In the comments, viewers ask for Brandon to take a Hogwarts house quiz and describe how watching a newcomer brings back their own first encounter with the films. John Williams's score gets its own appreciative mention.

There was plenty beyond Hogwarts among the week's 15 uploads: Jaby and Michael watched the motherhood drama Losing Isaiah, Kristen and Michael reached Reacher's second-season finale, and Achara and Alli continued the Resident Evil series with Retribution.

The busiest videos right now add another pair of genres. Brandon and Alli's Underworld: Evolution reaction is drawing the most daily views, followed by Jaby and Michael watching Tyler Perry's romantic comedy Nobody's Fool, then Harry Potter.

CinePals added about 2.6 million views over the week, a substantial total among nearby movie-and-TV channels, with Let Me Explain drawing slightly more. Subscribers grew modestly, though daily viewing is currently around a third of CinePals' usual level. That slower channel-wide day hasn't stopped Brandon's first Hogwarts visit from becoming the week's clearest new gathering point.
