Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.

Actress Evangeline Lilly Flees Hollywood: 'God Has a Plan'

Evangeline Lilly wants to keep telling stories, just not necessarily in front of a camera. That distinction gives CBN News' most-watched new upload something more interesting than a celebrity exit announcement: an account of what she wants to do instead.

In "Actress Evangeline Lilly Flees Hollywood: 'God Has a Plan'," the Lost and Hobbit actress dates her step back to 2020, explaining that wider attention followed a retrospective she posted years later. She describes wanting a quieter position, stories of her own and more hands-on humanitarian work. Her Christian faith is central to how she explains that change.

There is also a project to discuss. Lilly is lending her voice to Legend of Destruction, about the Jewish revolt against Rome that ended with the Temple's destruction in the year 70. Stepping away from screen acting, in other words, hasn't meant leaving storytelling altogether.

The upload has reached about 200,000 views and has the strongest daily momentum among CBN's videos. Beneath it, viewers recall her work in Lost, Ant-Man and The Hobbit, connecting familiar characters with the voice they are hearing here.

CBN published fifteen videos across the week. Jerusalem Dateline's coverage of possible US military action against Iran and a separate Pentagon report are its other busiest uploads right now. Across the channel, daily viewing is above its usual level, though the subscriber total was unchanged over the week. The largest audience for a new upload, however, came to hear Lilly explain a decision she says was already years behind her.
