A side-exit Sentra supplies Car and Driver's soundtrack
The Spec-V concept shares a five-upload week with a long-term Lucid test and Ezra Dyer's Subaru Uncharted review.
Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.
Listen to the Nissan Sentra Spec-V Concept
Nobody needs to narrate this one. A white Nissan Sentra Spec-V concept rolls past the camera at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, pauses for several engine revs and drives away, leaving its side-exit exhaust to do the explaining.
"Listen to the Nissan Sentra Spec-V Concept" was Car and Driver's most-watched new upload, reaching about 130,000 views. The magazine describes a turbocharged version of the standard car's four-cylinder engine producing 300 horsepower. Wide bodywork and a spoiler complete a rather different proposition from the everyday Sentra.
The comments bring the badge's history into the conversation. Several viewers recall owning earlier SE-R Spec V models, while others ask Nissan to put this concept into production. Those are two distinct attractions in one small clip: a familiar name returning, and a car people want to buy rather than merely watch.
Elsewhere, the week offered a more patient kind of testing. The Lucid Air Pure's long-term review considers whether the base model's appeal survives extended ownership, including maintenance, charging and winter use. Ezra Dyer tests the Toyota-engineered Subaru Uncharted GT, asking whether it feels like a Subaru. A Hyundai Venue acceleration test and Jeep's SEMA pickup concept round out the uploads.
Subscriber numbers held steady, while daily views are running more than half above their usual level. Among nearby motoring channels, Jim's Automotive Machine Shop had a particularly substantial week; Car and Driver's weekly views landed close to Autoalex Cars'. Within its own lineup, the Sentra is generating by far the most daily viewing, followed by the Jeep concept and the Lucid ownership test.
