Pain ONLY soccer players understand… #soccer #soccerplayer
What hurts most on a soccer field? Brittany Wilson Isenhour, who played four professional seasons with Angel City FC and the Orlando Pride after college at the University of Denver, put her answers into a short called "Pain ONLY soccer players understand…", and it crossed a million views within four days.
The comment section turned into a support group. The offside call that goes against you by an inch while the other side gets away with a yard is the most popular complaint. Close behind are being stomped on by cleats and taking a ball to the body on a freezing day. Goalkeepers add their own list, runners point out that the warm-up lap is worse than the conditioning, and a football player wonders if anyone has had a lineman step on their hand.
She posted five times. A goalkeeper gag about a ball that shrinks with every save went up a day earlier and is closing in on 900,000 views. The newest hit, "THIS or THAT soccer girl edition…", is gathering views faster than anything else on the channel. A shoe joke from twelve days ago, "Every time I score my shoes get worse…", is approaching five million. A day-in-the-life vlog about going from pro player to content creator drew a smaller, steadier audience, which is about the gap you would expect between a vlog and a quick joke.
The channel ran at roughly half its usual daily pace and added about 4,000 subscribers, ending the week at 449,000. Even so, it gained the third most views among the football creators closest to it in size, behind GUGUGAMER and Shea Woodsford. Most of that group also had a slower week than usual.
