Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.

My 4yr old son got his FIRST DEER!!

Josh and Sarah Bowmar put both of this week's videos up on the same day, and both are about the youngest people in the woods. "My 4yr old son got his FIRST DEER!!" is exactly what its title says, and it passed 10,000 views in its first eight hours. "Great Tip For Youth Hunters" followed close behind and drew nearly as many in about the same time. For a channel better known for 200-inch bucks and Phantom-camera slow motion, it is a gentle, family-sized turn.

The bigger story on the channel is still Venom. Posted 27 days ago, "The Hunt For VENOM Sarah's 1st 200\" Whitetail" has passed 266,000 views and keeps drawing a steady crowd. In the description, Josh tells how they first watched the Iowa buck in 2024 and gave him another year, and how he came back at six years old carrying more than 50 extra inches of antler. This time Josh stayed behind the camera while Sarah hunted him for nearly two months, through close calls and heartbreak, until it came together the day before Thanksgiving. A tine that had pushed Venom past 200 inches broke off earlier in the season, and he still scored 192¼.

Among the outdoors and homesteading channels nearest the Bowmars, Mav is having the standout stretch at more than double his usual daily pace, with LouisianaCrawfishCo and Off Grid w/ Jake & Nicolle also running busy, while Exploring Alternatives is a little quieter than usual. With 2.62 million subscribers, Bowmar Bowhunting sits in the middle of that group, and the about text calls it the largest archery channel in the world.
