Video surging 14x the video's usual pace

Ben Azelart won't settle for just hitting the axe target

His March Short is drawing renewed attention as the smallest circle proves far harder to hit than the board itself.

Why this story? The video is running at 533,107 views a day, 14 times its usual pace (38,142).

Impossible Axe Throw!Impossible Axe Throw!

An axe hitting wood isn't enough for Ben Azelart. "That does not count. I want a bullseye," he says in "Impossible Axe Throw!", turning a simple target challenge into a prolonged test of persistence.

The Short, posted in March, added more than half a million views in a day, roughly fourteen times its usual daily pace. That burst stands out against a channel whose overall daily viewing is running close to normal.

The setup is straightforward: a wooden board, a throwing line and circles labeled Easy, Hard and Impossible. The targets shrink as Ben progresses. By the time he reaches the smallest, the misses are leaving the board visibly battered. "This thing is destroyed!" he says between attempts.

Viewers have picked up on the repetition as much as the accuracy. One likens the succession of impacts to a beat; others discuss axes bouncing off the wood or suggest aiming between the planks.

For a creator whose most-watched regular uploads include a secret pool and an indoor zoo, this is a much smaller proposition: one tiny circle, and a refusal to accept anything short of its center.
