Introvert? Here's how to ace your next job interview
Three films, one clear favorite. Of the week's uploads on BBC Ideas, the guide for introverts heading into a job interview is the one people keep finding, with close to 12,000 views in six days and more daily traffic than anything else on the channel.
Made with The Open University and animated by Sofja Umarik, it walks through preparing for questions about yourself, calming nerves, eye contact and body language, and a chapter on what to do when the interviewer is an AI. The pitch is that introvert strengths can work in your favor. Under it, viewers trade notes: one reminds candidates that they are interviewing the employer too, and another describes freezing in an interview that very day.
The other two new films went in different directions. "The truth about oily fish and your brain" has Mykyta Osadchyi asking what the evidence says, and what to do if you don't like fish. "Is the internet broken?" weighs ads, misinformation and doomscrolling. Its tags point to Jimmy Wales and Cory Doctorow, the writer who coined "enshittification." Both have settled into a slower pace. A three-week-old explainer, "Why milk is weird," still draws more daily views than the fish film.
Overall the channel ran at roughly half its usual daily pace, and about a thousand new subscribers brought it to 700,000. Among explainer and history channels near its size, The Rest Is History and Maxinomics had the big weeks, while Cogito and Suibhne were quieter still.

What viewers say
Remember that not every employer deserves you. You are also interviewing them and if there are red flags, challenge them and if you don't like their response, end the interview!
