A banned emote and a licking dog: BarleyTheBurr's 'He got banned for THAT?'
The short has passed 3.8 million views in five days, and its comments are still trying to work out which emote went too far.
Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.
He got banned for THAT? 😭😂
Five days old, "He got banned for THAT? 😭😂" is the video carrying BarleyTheBurr's channel. It has passed 3.8 million views, and it is still drawing more each day than her other two big uploads put together.
The joke is a ban story with a twist at the end. Viewers say their first reaction was that the punishment seemed unfair, until the real reason came out and the whole thing made sense. The comments keep replaying one line, a stubborn "it's not working, I better keep going," and the abrupt cut that follows it. A good share of the thread is also standing up for a dog-licking emote that, by most accounts here, was perfectly innocent.
Two more shorts went up around it, "WHAT are they talking about?! 😭" and "WHY did they chooose ME? 😭", and each has passed a million. A longer video in which she rates her viewers' cars with her boyfriend moved far more quietly.
All that added close to 30 million views and 25,000 subscribers over the week, the most views gained among the streamer channels of her size, even though her daily pace has eased a little from its usual high. Sodapoppin also ran above his usual, while Spaceboy Shorts had a calmer stretch. With 936,000 subscribers, Barley is not far from a round million.
