Donnie Goes Dark
"Donnie Goes Dark" is the long-promised Backpack Episode, and the description swears that this time it really is. It went up on 2ndJerma, the highlights channel where Jerma985's streams get cut down for the rest of us, and it covers a GTA roleplay day on the NoPixel server in which his character, Donnie "Goldtooth" McDermott, mostly drags everyone around him into nothing at all.
The comments read like an episode guide. Viewers keep retelling the day from the point of view of Benji, the player who picks Donnie up, survives a failed robbery with him, fetches him from the hospital and still ends up buying junk off him. Others point to a call placed days earlier that pays off late in the video, when a contact gets sent to a police officer by mistake. One longtime viewer sums up a decade of following Jerma as having led to this: him roleplaying on a GTA server.
The second upload, "Canadian Crime Disease," comes from the same stream and is billed as Donnie meeting the mandem, with xQc in its tags. It is the newer of the two and is moving faster now, while last week's "The Kidnapping" keeps ticking along behind them.
The channel had a calmer week than usual, around 1.4 million views, and among the streamer highlight channels near its size Sodapoppin and BarleyTheBurr were the busy ones. Donnie, meanwhile, finally has somewhere to put his things.
