Banana Movies asks whether Ant-Man's powers are really "magic"

An October upload supplies most of the Marvel clips channel's daily views, with an Okoye video also accelerating.

Spider-Man: A hero to himself, and a hero to the everyday person. #spiderman #hero #avengers #marvel

Ant-Man is doing the heavy lifting for Banana Movies, and the upload drawing attention is already three weeks old. Its teasing question, whether his powers amount to magic, has picked up roughly 1.9 million views in a day.

That accounts for most of the channel's roughly 3.2 million daily views, a pace more than ten times its usual. This is a surge for a fan-run clips channel posting Marvel material, not a new release from Marvel itself.

The title pokes at a familiar superhero premise: Ant-Man's size-changing abilities are explained through Pym particles, the fictional discovery associated with scientist Hank Pym. Calling it "magic" is the upload's joke about that comic-book science, rather than a different origin for the character's powers.

Ant-Man isn't carrying the whole day alone. An older Okoye upload, framed around the Wakandan warrior's refusal to defer even to her king, is also drawing views much faster than usual. Meanwhile, Banana Movies' new uploads have moved on to Spider-Man, from his Spider-Sense to his role as an everyday hero. The fresh posts are about Peter Parker; the largest burst of attention belongs to Scott Lang.
