Arc welder tops half a million views in a day

The channel's latest work ranges from steel-joint techniques to "metal art," while its daily views have more than doubled since the previous day's story.

Why this story? The whole channel is running at 521,573 views a day, 13 times a normal day (39,352).

Arc welder's surge has grown considerably since we reported here a day earlier. The metalworking channel drew roughly 520,000 views in a day, more than twice the daily total in that story and about thirteen times its usual pace.

Its recent uploads offer a different emphasis from the no-welding corner trick featured in our previous piece. "welding technique of large to small round concrete steel joints" tackles connections between different-sized steel pieces, while "Stronger welding tips on concrete construction iron joints" keeps the focus on construction metalwork. The former has drawn substantially more views than the channel's newer uploads.

Those newer entries have much less descriptive names: "genius idea" and "metal art." Neither title explains the project. The channel-wide rise does not identify which upload is driving it, so the extra attention cannot be pinned on either the practical joint lessons or those more cryptically titled projects.
