Animagraffs posted nothing new this week, which is less unusual than it sounds for a channel that builds each video as one detailed animated cutaway of how a machine works. The catalog did the work instead.

At the front is "How the Grumman F-14 Tomcat Works," forty days old and still gathering views at a brisk clip, roughly twice the daily pace of anything else on the channel. The Tomcat is the swing-wing Navy fighter most people first met in Top Gun, and a machine whose wings change shape in flight is exactly the kind of puzzle these videos like to unpack.

Behind it sits a much older favorite. "How the Lockheed SR-71 Blackbird Works" is well past eleven million views and more than two and a half years old, yet it still draws a steady stream every day. A 16th-century explorer's sailing ship rounds out the top three, a reminder that the channel's curiosity reaches well beyond jets.

Around it in the science group, Scott Manley was running a touch above his usual pace, while Reed Timmer and Chris Boden, like most of their neighbors, had a softer stretch.
